05 Stage II

I have an 05 FLSTCI. Need more power. I want to rebuild with a stage II kit to the 95ci or put in the Andrews conversion cam. Has anyone here had experience with either? Can you recommend which way to go? Is this something only a certified mechanic should attempt?
Thanks
Chris

Everyone wants more power but if you talk to a builder they will ask you specific questions about your riding style, budget, etc. They will then recommend a package based on your answers.

Give one of the sponsors here a call. I can personally recommend GMR Performance. They will be happy to discuss your build and sell you the parts if you want. You can then either do the install yourself or take the parts to a trusted Indy shop for install.

As for doing the work yourself, not something i would recommend for a beginner. However, if you have tackled some engine work before, have a good selection of tools, and are able to follow service manual instructions then you may want to attempt it. If you decide to do it yourself you can get plenty of help here on the forum if you run into trouble. The folks at GMR will also answer technical questions over the phone if you hit a snag.

OK thanks. I did check out the GMR site. Their cost appears to be 3X greater than HD. IT's hard to tell what GMR is offering. I do need more power to haul the wifey. I'll keep looking around the forums and sites until I find some more technical expertise/answers.
Thanks for the leads.
