rear fender help

My 05 FXST has currently a chopped fender, fender horns were cut and fender mounted to the rear as a rigid , it also has a bobber seat. This is how I bought it.

Now 4 years later, I am tired of the mud, sand, and rain hitting me in the back of the head. I'm a chick and would like to look good when I get off the ride!

The Fender....
I don't want to go wider or very much wider with the fender - just longer - I love the cruiser style (nice wrap look). All the strutless fenders that I like are for the 11" frame (84 to 99 softails) and I need a 11.75 wide strut mount area. Also they ones I do find are 9" wide. Anyone have an opinion on a 9" fender over a 150 tire?
What about solid struts and an after market fender? The jesse james 7.25 wide cruiser is the look I want, but where do I get some new struts that can support this with the correct offset for my frame? I understand that with 11.75 strut mount area the offset for a 7.25 wide fender would be 3.5 inches - not having much luck finding all the parts - any help or advice?

The Seat...
Would love to have a nice seat after the above is dealt with. Don't think the bobber seat would look right with the cruiser fender. Would like a regular solo seat.

The electronics...
Currently the fuse box was relocated further down the inner fender wall. The only thing I might have to deal with in changing the seat will be what do with the power commander and the ignition module.

any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey, Im a little confused. A 9" fender fits over a 200mm tire. So a 7.5" would be optimal for a 150mm tire. Does yours have a 150? The 11" and 11.75" is for a 240-300mm tire.

Yeah, with an '05 you should need a 7.5". I'd think a 9" fender over a 150 would look like it was missing something.

okay - 9" is out.

After thinking about it some more - I think I should find some good solid struts and an after market fender (7.5 - 8").

I think I want to go this route, since I want to be able to mount saddle bags.

opinions anyone?

Look here,
http://stores.shop.ebay.com/DANBURY-...__W0QQ_armrsZ1

this guy bought out all of Milwaukee Irons inventory when they went outta business and is selling it VERY cheap. I just ordered a "back up" rear fender for my bike seeing how it was so cheap. He's got a bunch more inventory not listed yet, e-mail him with what you want and he'll check for you. He cut me a good deal since I paid him direct instead of thru e-bay, it was still with paypal though so its safe enough.
