03 fatboy seat advice needed - need butt back 1-2 inches

Hi all I have a Sundownder bucket seat for 2 but find that my butt needs to go back about another 1 preferably 2 inches . seems there is a lot of padding at the back area . I prefer not send the seat out to be modified because it will take too long . Can anyone recommend a seat for the 03 fatboy that sets back more yet still has a "bitch seat" I was looking at the badlandr seat Its sad because the sundowner seat I have is in very nice shape . Thanks Vavso

Not really sure about the Sundowner seat but, I would check into a company called Mean City Cycles:

http://www.meancitycycles.com/

They did a seat modification to my stock Fatboy seat last year. Its a fraction of the cost of a new seat and there are many options on there web page.

The badlander seat is very comfortable, but there isn't much padding for the "bitch".

They look great on the FatBoy too.... very low profile.

Now... if you plan on doing LOOONNNGGG rides, the badlander might start feeling a little hard after awhile.

I have a badlander seat on my '03 Fatboy and I dont care for it. It is OK for around town but any longer and I want something better. I ordered a C & C squareback seat for it on Friday. Looking forward to putting it on the bike. The badlander will be for sale in a few weeks if you are interested.

Interested in the Squareback myself. Have the C&C Solo and now want to look for a 2-Up. Please give us a review ASAP

Check your local area. I had a local leatherworker take the pan and put new foam on and reshape it so it was wider and further back for both me and the pillion. She recovered it in leather (elephant hide) and it was cheaper than a off the shelf seat.

first of all, whoever thinks the badlander is comfortable must be lucky, cause myself and everyone else I've talked to think it's CRAP!!
my advice would be to avoid the badlander like the plague.

For a really nice 2 up seat that sits you farther back/down than the sundowner, go with the C&C sport tour. I have this seat on my night train, it's very comfy and looks great. My lady's rear starts getting tender after about 1 hour, but she is very slender and has next to no natural padding in that area. I'm 5'11" about 170 lbs, and can ride that seat all day long.
