sticky lifters

I have a 92 fatboy that the lifters won't bleed down. I have pulled the lifters dismantled cleaned reassembled, put them back in and same thing. they pump up and stay up, they won't bleed down. Any help would be appreciated.

Also it is puking oil out the crankcase vent to the air filter.

Are you using adjustables?Some times they can take 15 -20 minutes to bleed.
