custom paint? ESP for NT owners

Ok, I see that there are a few NT owners here and most of you have done some great jobs on making it your own. I am doing it as well. I will event post pics but for now all I can say is all that is left HD on mine is the oil tank, frame, engine and wiring.

I am at the point I want to get it painted, so I am looking for input. What color looks best on a NT or what is the best looking NT out there so I can start getting ideas.

I know you all have to have some pics of what you think looks best. Of course one mans opinion is not the nexts so lets not start an arguement.

The only thing painted right now is my round oil tanks and its painted to look like a wodden barrell. One side has the POW/MIA lgo and the other side is a skull with HD on top. I love the oil tank but for some reason I am having a hard time with the tank and rear fender(no front, its springer).

Let finish with , thanks for all the input. Lets get it started...

In my humble opinion, Night Trains are supposed to be black.

How about black with flames then?!

No offense to all those with black bikes - but though it looks great when polished, it is clearly not the most original color out there...

There are lots of good looking colors out there, that can appear black at night or in the shade...but when the sun hits it you see a hint of another color. This can be done with candies, and a real nice black cherry can be created - NOT to be confused with HD black cherry which simply is a deep maroon metallic. You can do similar and go more like a very deep blue, creating what I call 'midnight'. Hmmm, mid-night (train). That should work right...?

Don't just look at NT's, but search different makes of bike too - lots of members here with good looking bikes!

You make a good point Mr. Flames. You can go dark without being black. What was that special paint that had all kinds of colors but at night looked black. I think it started with a K.

I thought about jsut black but I am looking for something a little differnt so my bike wont get lost in the crowd. I may jsut stay black but there has to be something and I will know it when I see it.

Sometimes it's just a matter of 'enhancing' the black...
