Springer Softail CVO?
Hey Everyone
i have recently been looking up projects to do with my bike like, engine mods, fat tire etc....
I was considering skipping all that and trading in my 03 softail standard with about 15k already into it, and getting the springer softail CVO.
What does everyone think about these new CVO bikes?
what do you think the trade in difference will be, my bike is an 03 softail standard with about 15k put into it and about 5000km, and i know that the Springer CVO is starting at 26,999

I have seen two of the Springers - blue and black/green. They are sweet rides, especially the green and black, IMHO. FYI, I have more $$$ in my Springer (including original cost) than it would cost to buy the CVO new.

I was at the dealership in Barrie on Saturday and the CVO is well-over $30,000 now. They have one in the showroom there. I asked one of the staff-members about the price (as it WAS around $27,000 the last time I had been in), and he indicated to me that Harley had just recently announced a price increase. He wasn't sure why, but I would suspect possibly due to the strength of the American dollar vs. ours. Not sure what the trade-in value/difference would be with your bike..... you'd have to talk to the sales department on that, but I will say this: The CVO Springer looks awesome! The 240 rear tire, chrome swingarm, and bobtail fender are wicked! The tank panel looks really beefy too..... and the paint job is out-of-this-world!

Current trade in value (NADA,US) for your 03 FXST is around $8,400. How much (if any) the dealer will give you for your extra's would depend on your negotiating skills. The new CVO Springer is a beautiful bike. We haven't had a price increase here, must be a canadian thing.

I'd check a different dealer.....
I've seen all three colors in person, and the yellow is the best looking '09 Springer yet.
sadly, your '03 softail isn't worth squat on a trade, and mods don't mean anything on a trade.
they look up your '03 in the book and deduct for mileage and condition regardless of what extras you've put into it. you're better off selling it outright.
for $30,000.00 you can get the SE Road Glide...

I purchased the Springer CVO in August and absolutely LOVE it. The only gripe I would say I have with it (and I use that term loosely) is it's difficult to find accessories for it. I'm trying to find saddlebags for mine and having a tough time b/c of the wide rear tire (200). I have the copper/black 105th Anniv. edition. Beauty.

it's metal, they're all metal. '07, 08, '09.....
what IS cool about the '09 rear is that it's specific to the SE Springer..... no other HD model has THAT rear fender.

I agree the 09 SE Springer is Harley's neatest bike since the introduction of the Duece.
I have a 04 FXSTSI that is really nice, however I am hoping that 2010 Harley brngs back the Springer as a main line up again, with the SE lines and a 103 engine ( 30k is too high a price tag IMHO)
The 09 is one beautiful scooter.

It is highly likely they will offer that rear fender/tire combo on a stock springer in 2010 or 2011. They are going to want to take advantage of the tooling and try to spur springer sales. They need to sell several thousand a year to cover the added manufacturing costs of the front end.

All three of the new Springers are nausiating to me.
Such a nice bike, and really horrible paint.
It could have been so good, and they are soooo bad..
My personal favorite is the 2007 Canyon Red like Deuce Bigelows.
