Angry Deuce owners: We´re obsolete!

Hi!

I went to the dealer the other day to order a set of the original Deuce risers because the chrome on mine is peeling. Guess what- they´ve been "obsoleted"! Can´t get´em anymore! I was afraid that some less sought after parts would be sooner or later but I didn´t think it would be this soon. If you need any parts for your Deuce that the dealers don´t move every day, I suggest you go get them now before it´s too late!

BTW: Does anyone have the original Deuce pullback risers in good condition they would like to sell?

Thanks
Sponk

I believe the Deluxe uses the same risers. Probably find some on E-bay.

pull out your parts book ( w/ the part #'s) and go to chicagoharley.com and see what they want. It's 20% off...no tax depending where you hail from and shipping usually isn't bad...

Okay folks,
For those who have changed out their bars, who has suggestions for bars for the Deuce that pull back just about 2" from the stock position. I actually like the stock risers, just need different bars.

I've had the feeling that we're 'obsolete' ever since I bought the Deuce. I guess that just makes us unique.

I've got my winter project planned and am going with Carlini Original T-bar drags. Prolly 7" pullback / 1.25". Switching out all stock controls, housings and cables too. Anybody have any luck with Carlini's discount parts inventory that's mentioned on their site?

Just got a set of 03 SE 1.25" bars off Ebay and I'm looking for the risers, can anyone help me out with a part number, or better yet anyone have some they want to get rid of?

Deuce owners are obsolete for more reasons than that. Harley has discontinued the model for 2008. No idea why as it is one of the better looking stock Harleys IMHO.

Oh well, my pal Jim Sims has his SE one and loves it. I've ridden it and understand why.

Hopefully, the discontinuance of the Deuce will make it just that much more unique.

Have you tried a dealer search? The dealer can use the P/N and see which dealers still have the part in stock. Located my heel rests this way. However, I did run into some dealers that hadn't updated their inventory and didn't have it on their shelf.
