Life membership?? What is the cost?
I went to the Hog Membreship website and the life membership is listed. When I try to sign up, they give me anumber to call... Is anyone here a life member? what is the cost? Or does it make a difference geographically?

Now why would you want to pay anyone $500 to give you sale propaganda for life?

It's $500.00, with a $40.00 discount for each year you've been a member consecutively, for up to 5 years. In other words if you've been a member for one year, life membership would be $460.00, 2 years $420.00 and so on, up to five years, when it would be $300.00, which would be as cheap as it would get.

I got my stuff the free year. And new stuff every renewal year. Must be regional distribution issues. Or perhaps HOG just doesn't give a rip about certain customers.

I belong but not for LIFE
Everytime I get a 'HOGTALES' it just amazes me with all the Harley propaganda. 'I get such thrill' yadda , yadda. They certainly don't mention all of the UNSATISFIED customers. It's sad that now Harley is reducing itself from being an American Icon to a commercial entity. I belong for the 'road service' and that's about it. Don't belong to a local chapter and DONT have a leather vest with all that BS on it. I certainly don't need to read about someone else's trips. I'm busy doing my own..........(soon as my guages UNFOG!!!!):nfu2:

Harley has always been a "comercial entity" and of course they are into self promotion in their own publications. What company dosen't promote themselves? Harley is as much of an American Icon as it ever was but Harley is in business to make money and to stay in business. I realize some people are disgusted by the idea of Harley actually making a profit but that's why they are still here and Indian and many others are not.

Plus they are a public company. There stockholders expect and want them to make money. Live and die by the quarterly results.

No, that's the point of Life Membership, that you have already paid.
