rallies & motorcycle contests ??

Motorcycle contests at state HOG rallies might include slow ride-1 & 2 up, hot dog bite, bike wash, etc.
Do other rallies allow sport bikes (Buell) in the same contest as Harleys?
Do you think they should be in the same or a different catagory?
Are there contests for trikes?
IMHO I don't think its fair to have them in the same contest.

I cant see why you would think it unfair. I dont know about over in your country, but over here, at most rallies etc, if there is an event, then you go in it on whatever bike you ride, and if your particular style of bike is better on that particular event, then so be it, if it is not as good as another well, too bad, find an event your bike works in and go in that. I have found over the years though that despite what the losers of these events will claim, it is more often the skill (or lack thereof) of the rider involved that decides a lot of these events moreso than it is the bike. I have seen Metric bikes whip Harleys in one heat, and then in the next heat of the same event, a Harley will whip a Jappers arse, so my advice if you want to win an event is practice and practice some more, or be beaten by someone who does.

Well put BIGBOPPA. Maybe separate games for trikes but I've never seen any.

Thanks for your responses. I for one am terrible at any bike games but have participeted to have fun & earn participation points for the chapter contest (which we won). I was mainly reffering to Harley rallies of which Buell is included, but was looking for the opinion of others also. 99.9% were Harley's & a couple of Buell's. I agree with you it takes talent & not nessecarily the bike. But IMHO the sport bikes looked better for those contests. But it was unusual to see a sport bike going that slow for a change. Again thanks for your opinions.
