Multiple HOG Chapter Memberships
HOG encourages it...
I have been selected as Head Road Captain for one local chapter, and have also taken on the role of membership officer of a chapter now in the rebuilding process.
No conflicts... one rides on Saturday, one Rides on Sunday.... people from both get together on Friday nights and ride as well.
Wjt do you guys think?

I may have missed something, but what is the question bro? LOL Are you asking what we think of being a member of more than one Chapter? If so, then here's my answer... If you have No wife and No kids, and have plenty of free time, then GO FOR IT. I wish I had the time to be part of 1 local chapter, but I don't really. I am in the stages of joining the Devils Backbone riding club/ mc, and I don't think I will have time for my local Chapter of HOG

Thats about it.... I re-read the OP and realized it wasnt very clear.
Have wife who rides as well, and 2 dogs... (kids)
I've been asked to join other clubs as well, but I'm not really into their riding styles.
So I stay with HOG, as no matter what clubs my friends ride with, they are all HOG members as well.

You got it made bro, a wife who rides as well. As long as you're happy I think you should do all you can. You guys have great weather for it, I know if we had weather like yours here I'd probably be in 5 or 6 clubs lol, just so I could ride with my friends everyday lol.

They key is even though the Chapters rides weekends, we ride as friends weeklong. (I commute with my Streetglide, and most of the core Chapter members do the same)
The weekend rides are for the new guys and give the old friends a common ground to hang out in...

The noobs gotta learn the ropes from someone!
Not all of us have the "in" and are skilled in riding and need to learn by example.
Riding in Paradise has its good and bads...

we all had to learn someplace.....and i admit when i first rode with a big pack they were taking a chance with me back in the day...but you will note the natural progression as riders become gray beards or just have 1000 and 1000's of miles under em they refuse to ride with big groups of un tested riders....bottom line, is it's risky... but if you are one of those that has the patience to teach the new rider..well all the best to you....just keep an eye out is all..
it is a thing of beauty to see real good 4 riders that know each other rolling down the road...in and out of traffic..smooth lane changes and never out of formation...

We tend to pair a senior rider with a noob (We ride side-by side here) so the senior rider acts as a coach. If the noob isnt comfortable side by side we ask they ride near the rear when the sweepers can watch them.
Now, as far as a group of riders in formation... thats the senior guys that ride like that when we ride by ourselves. We did that once last year... it was a blast... great way to unwind

Our HOG Chapter does not allow you to be a officer or road captain in 2 chapters. We had a road captain become head road captain in another chapter. He had to resign in our chapter. He is still a good friend and rides with both chapters.

Interesting....Is there a justification for the reasoning behind that policy?
HOG is ultimately all one family. Officers are all volunteers, correct?

That is apparently a Chapter decision.... what I got basically says this: "Although rare, the concept is not uncommon"
If it's OK with the sponsoring dealer(s) then its fine.

CAPTIANBUZZ,
The HOG handbook speaks nothing of being unable to participate as a VOLUNTEER for as many positions as they choose.
I'm trying to understand the Chapter philosophy surrounding the decision to prevent a member from holding an officer position in multiple chapters.
As I indicated, contact with HOG corporate indicated no problems.
I, as well as the others see no problem with it. The two sponsoring dealerships are OK with it... 1 dealer is losing members... the GM is not 100% happy, but the move is a result of division in one chapter. (The "clique" atmosphere HOG says to avoid)
HOG, without its volunteer members is nothing. Officers are voted in or selected and hold those positions for the indicated term or longer if re-elected.
HOG indicates you should be "developing your replacement" from the get-go...
