People who bash HOG look at themselves in the mirror and get a hard on. All that means is their penis knows a ***** when it sees one.

..or, just maybe, they had a bad experience with their local chapter and view the entire organization that way. It's also possible that people could say that it just isn't for them. That's not exactly bashing.

Who would have ever thought you needed to be a H.O.G. member to join a H.O.G. Chapter.
Seriously, HOG requires ALL chapters to inspect the members National HOG card BEFORE they are allowed to join. If you were in the chapter at all, then somebody screwed up and perhaps someone else found out later. Another prime example of what happens when idiots run a Chapter.

A fine example of what caliber of hog...= OWNER belongs to this chapter. There is a reason they are called OWNERS!

So seriously -- as a new hog owner --- What does HOG have to offer me?

If you purchased a new HOG, the dealer should have signed you up. If so, you'll get a membership package in 4 - 6 weeks. If not, you can go to this URL, which should explain what you want to know.

So we find our local H.O.G. Chapter to be no different than any other club. Good and bad abounds. We joined, and continue to maintain our membership, for all the good things our local chapter does, including riding. Now, do we wear black leathers and try and believe we are Brother Speed wanna be's? Nope, the Wild Hog image is not for us. We wear helmets and sport bike clothes, and yes we get some weird looks, but that's us. Everybody has gotten used to it and we all accept each other just fine.
Now if my Sportster just handled like a 600RR.....

This is a great discussion... especially the part about BOOBS!
I currently am a member in 2 chapters that I ride with, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
One has control issues... and it goes completely against HOGs concept of "ride and have fun"... My answer is if you dont like it you can ****ing suck it up and deal with it because I dont give a **** what you think!
*chuckles*
The whiners dont like being told they arent riders...

If your first question when joining any organization (not just hog ) is “what will they do or offer me?”
Ok put this into perspective looking into your future wife’s eyes say “what is in it for me?”
Or how about your future boss at a job interview. ”if I take this job what is in it for me?”
I could go on and on but if you don’t get it by now….you never will.
When I was the director of several chapters over the years if someone asked me that my answer (and believe me more than on %#&^% asked me) my answer was always the same. “NOTHING”
I think Kennedy said it best.

Actually, the question should be what can I bring to this chapter to make it better to encourage other riders to come out and have fun.
You get from it what you put into it. The satisfaction of knowing you came in and did you best to make it better.
