What is a good place to cross ( minimal hassle from the locals and boarder related issues.)?

All that is required for the point is a picture of:
- Your bike
- This year's Hog Tails
- The offical sign.
Therefore, you only need to go to a border crossing and get the picture. You will not need to actually go into Mexico. I have gotten the "Mexico" point several years and have never crossed the border. I would not drive my truck in Mexico - much less my bike.
Same picture routine with Canada - but Canada is no problem to drive in. Really great folks, roads, etc. I stop at the border and get the "Canada" sign, then go in and get a Province or two.
