Police Dyna/FXR Saddlebag Search

Just posted a similiar question on the Dyna family thread, should have done it here first. I am looking for a set of Saddlebags for a Police FXR. The later the model the better. Anyone have a set lying around they might part with?

I wanted a set of those FXRP(police) bags too and seen several go on ebay last winter/spring. Conditions very, of course. Same with prices. Here's an interesting post related to this topic.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

I have a set of the chrome crash guards that go around the bags off my '87 FXRP. Chrome was fairly decent as I haven't looked at them in a while. I've been too lazy to getting around to selling them....

I have a set of real nice FXRP bags, complete with all crash guards and most of the hardware. I bought them on ebay:

They aren't a direct bolt-on to my '94 FXR, but if you can use them I will sell them for 175.00 plus shipping

Sounds like a deal to me! I'll get back to you in just a few days. I want to do some more research. Shouldn't be much difference between 94 up models, but I want to put them on my 05 Dyna, so it will require some mods here in the Ol' machine shop to make em fit. I know they will not be a direct bolt on, but did you try and how close did they get to bolting up?. From the link you sent, I gather you are a fellow Ebayer? If I buy them will paypal be OK?

If anyone has tried a similiar installation, let me know how it turned out.

I can't honestly tell you the differences, but it looks like if the shock was mounted a little more forward from my bike, they would work much better (maybe they are from a Dyna??)

Paypal is fine, to: fabkevin@comcast.net , and I would add about 20 bucks to ship them too.

Fab Kevin;

Go ahead and get a weight on them. I'd be glad to pay you the full cost for what the shipping will be. Zip Code 24070.

I have a very nice set of bags off of a 1987 FXRP. The bike was issued to the head motorcycle trainer at the CHP academy. They are clean. Locking bags with key. I also have the crash bars and other misc police stuff that was on the bike when I bought it.
