But then as I think about it. If you rode more and looked less, the paint wouldn't really mater at all.
Logic and reason have no place in this conversation.

I don't suppose you'd be wanting to trade your side covers for a pair that already have some custom art work?

(I somehow missed this post.)

No sir, I don't. But I'd be happy to owe them to you.

Hey Al, I dug out a set of stock grips and fat pegs for you. I'll be going to Webster this Sunday and will pick you up a pair of mirrors.

Thanks Pete.
I found the source of the oil leaks.
One was the oil pressure feed and the other was oil pressure built up and blew the oil cap half way out of the tank. The only thing that stopped it was the bottom of the seat.
I got the RaceTech springs and emulators in the forks now with modified damper rod and 20W oil. Handles amazing even with the Progressive shocks. Next time I'll add the taller WorksPerformance shocks.

I also scored FXLR gas tank for $30 !!! another $30 bought me a FXRT couch of a seat and a FREE Conv windshield. Its pretty beat up from storage with very few tiny cracks and a nice frame with all the clamps.

My 1987 FXLR

It's a work in progress. I work on it as much as I can. Since the pictures were taken I have put a S&S super E on it and working toward Andrews EV27 cam.
The Thunderheader has had 5 1/2" taken out. I'm going back and forth between high temp powder coating or header wrap.
