too much lean on stand
I am hoping i can get some help here. I let my mothers boyfriend borrow my 1982 FXR because he wanted to do some work on it for me as a kind of surprise gift. and when I got it back i noticed that when it was resting on the kickstand, it seemed to be leaning rather excessively and more than it did before. Is there a way to fix the intense lean? i can get a picture or two tomorrow, or maybe sooner if i have one on computer.

Pretty typical for a FXR.
Don't let your moms boyfriend borrow "your" bike anymore.

Find out what work he did on it, that'll probably lead you directly to the issue.

Rule número uno! Never lend out your motorcycle.
Now with that said. Was the suspension height changed in any way?

Looks to me like it's going too far forward. If you can find someone to hold the bike up, you should be able to get down there and see what's bent or broken.
Like some of the others have already said, have you tried asking him what happened to it? That seems the most logical.
I'm kinda curious what kind of work he did on it.

In the second picture you can see that the kick-stand is not sitting sitting flat on the foot of the stand but rather on the back edge. This would lead one to believe that either it is now moving/sitting too far forward from something changed/altered in the mount or the "new" kick-stand is not the correct/acceptable stand for the FXR.
