Stock Frame Rake?

I have simple question. Did all FXRs come with the same frame?

I made the mistake years ago with a Dyna. Bought an FXDL and didn't realize it had the 32 degree raked frame, versus the 28 standard.

I am looking at an FXLR, but if it's raked, I need to pass.

The neck angle is the same for all FXR's. There is some differences in total rake depending on other changes like wheel/tire sizes, longer forks with shorter rear shocks, and possible triple tree variations. Total rake runs from 29 deg to 32 deg. 31 -32 deg is average.

I'm not sure what that means to you, Beardo. The rake isn't the only reason FXR's handle so much better than Dynas. An FXR with 29 deg front rake will always handle better than a Dyna with 29 deg front rake.

I believe all FXLR's have 29 degree rake.

Ken, I couldn't find 31 degrees quoted in that article except in the specs link for a 1982 FXR.

All the specs I have for FXLR are 29 degrees.

One article I have has the '82 FXR at 31 degrees, another at 32.

Who knows for sure!

What exactly is your concern, beardo?

All the replies, definitely answer my question. I thought that all the frames were the same, but wanted to be absolutely sure, this time around. Looks like I'll be doing paperwork tomorrow, and barring anything that not going wrong, then I'll finally have an FXR.
