Clearview
Being Christmas and all, and since Mama said I could, I ordered a 22" recurve, with the FXRP cut, for Rosie. Since I ordered the light gray tint, I HAD to order the matching light gray headlight cover, right?
I hope the tint wasn't a mistake.
They have a handful of FXR shields on clearance, if any of y'all have been thinking about it.

You have the tinted one? Tinted or not, it's good to hear you like it.
It looked very light on their website, but it wasn't the best picture to judge from.

Don't have the RP or RT or the light grey tint...but I do have a clear 24" recurve for the Road King. Considerably thicker than stock. I only use it when it's in the 40's -50's, cause you are lookin' thru it not over it. Matched with the lowers it really keeps you toasty. It's so damn big, at 80mph the bike slows down so fast I hardly need the brakes!
I paid half price because it was supposed to have a scratch towards the bottom. Turns out it was just a mar that came off with polish. A real quality product.

This is the same length as the stocker. If I have a need to look over it, a slight posture change is all it takes. It doesn't bother me to look thru it, but I know I'm in the minority there.
Those really short, black screens do look good on FXRs.
80MPH?!? Harleys can't go that fast!

Man, I love that bike. All fuction, no frill, well kept.
How much wider is that tank than stock? Would it fit with the old style glove boxes?
And that reminds me to add that I ordered the FXRP style masking.

How'd you get past security? and,
Ok, you're forgiven for that other thing.
Another detail I forgot to mention is that Clearview claims these screens are safe to use Rain-X on.

My Mama was like that also. Of course when I was old enough I moved out and got married.

Ok, I'm late, but here we go...
It's an overcast day, so the pictures are crappy. The points I'm trying to illustrate with them are...
1-- The tint is very light. Don't be fooled by how dark the headlight looks.
2-- The cut and contour of both the screen and the masking are close enough to factory pieces that I can't tell any difference.
3-- The recurve is pretty subtle.
4-- The cutouts in the screen, for clearance of bars/mirrors/master cylinder, are pretty severe. This is an observation, not a criticism. I've long noticed the same thing about Moco's FXRP screens.
I have 36" arms so my bars are a little forward, so i had cut the screen edges some to clear the master cylinder at full left; but I don't need anywhere near that much clearance. Is there something different about FXRP necks, geometry, etc? Did they want clearance for 46" arms? Any guesses? Anybody know?
5-- I probably forgot something.
6-- Yep, I forgot... The pices were well packed and very well padded. Clesrview did good.
