Went to Turkey Run Yesterday 4 FXR's FS

It a quick 45 min to Daytona from my house. So a couple of us ran down yesterday to check out the Turkey Run Swap Meet at the Speedway. Its a lot of walking for me,I doubled up on my meds for the day, still ended up with blisters on my hands. Found four Evo FXR's for sale. Very over priced. I didn't have a place for my camera. None of them were priced under $5000.00. I was amazed. Now what parts we did find there were deals to be had. Like a factory 1992-1994 FLT-FXR service manual 20 bucks. VGC. The take off parts were dirt cheap for a change. Found a older girder complete for $300.00. And your normal shop stuff we all use. I did find latching relays for $5.00 each, now how good they are we'll see. But people were spending money on the big money stuff. The venders we talked with said they made money compared to last year. And we also saw car that had been sold. But prices on the cars seams still on the high side. KA

Michael Psycle is reading this now saying WTF is this?
Sounds like a swap meet I would have enjoyed.

It's been over a year since I've been to a swap meet, but at that time FXR parts weren't overly inflated, sounds like it still might be the case. Elvis has driven the prices up on ebay.

last swap meet I went to prices were very reasonable.
I cant believe some of the prices I see on Ebay.
Though you still see on resonable number there also,
just got to look a little more.

And hope Elvis doesn't see it.

Check out pinwal cycle on ebay. Decent prices and they seem to get quite a few FXRs.
No affiliation btw ...

Your right Alan I have bought from Pinwall. There prices and shipping cost are in line. I have looked at the stuff Elvis Sells. I see no reason to give him any of my money. Most of it can be found NOS or through other sources. Such as swap meets. Ken

Pinwall is very good. I got my front end from them. i have bought from Elvis on occasion because sometimes he is the only one with the part. He may compete with you on ebay and that does drive prices up but I don't think that he wants to pay any more than the rest of us do so hes not gonna go too high. His auctions do give the impression of high value though and others then will ask for more thinking that that is going rate. It really varies. I really would like to find a set of lower fairings that are not in the 4 digit range. Any progress on repros?

I posted this kinda recently, but I don't remember if it was for you, so...

There is an FXR group at Yahoo Groups. One of the guys there was talking about making some repros.
