is this one of those "ran good when parked" deals?

actually, he's not too far off in pricing. A complete Shovelhead motor will bring $1500 and a titled FXR frame is worth 1200-1500.

Possible Elvis sighting, must be having a clearance sale on bent frames and flooded engines but put it on CL for fear of harming his E-Bay ratings.

Really? Man do I have some deals for you.

Run of the mill FXR $4500
Less tranny and probably some primary parts $3500
Less front end and eletricical $2500
Less tin $1500
Less motor $500

Look closely, the motor is short enough pieces to make me think it'll be expensive to get running. If it has as much crap in it as on it, then it's parts that almost no one wants anymore.

The really sad thing here is that I more or less have everything it needs just laying around my garage. Motor and tranny would be out of pocket as would a main harness and hand controls.

Is it just me or does thirty minutes with soap, water, and a good scrub brush help sell things? Especially overpriced things!

Krowbar wants to know Dino or Syn?
yeah that Elvis guy is absurd! i just sold him some chrome rear struts for $90 off ebay, seen him repost them for $169. I hate dealing with him. I emailed ebay to see if you can delete certain user's off my searchs and what not cause I hate seeing a seat side bracket priced at $157.

What's sad is that I bought a Fuel sending unit for him because I couldn't find one ANYWHERE for $80. I just bought a back up sending unit and gauge for $51 of ebay. Doh!

I doubt he will get even $500 for it. The value is in the title and frame and the motor is probably only good for parts. He'll be very lucky to find someone close by who wants it. My guess is he will hold out for awhile and then it will probably end up in some salvage yard.

I have a '90 Honda 4Trax 350D ...... not mint, but close..... worth maybe .... $2300.-
Looked at another '90 yesterday ..... beat to crap, components missing .... $2500.- firm.
I would be paying too much for it at $400.- ..... all in the eye of the beholder, I guess ...

It didn't cost him anything other than a little time to put that ad on CL. That is probably why it is there. He's just fishing to see if anyone bites.

Only things missing are oil line to rockers $30 and pushrods with tubes. thats another 200 if you had to buy solid lifter kit, pushrods and covers. I can sell that motor for 1500 if it turns over and has good numbers.
ever look to see what harley titled frames bring these days? why spend 2k on Chopper Guys frame and still have to title it ASPT when you can build harley titled bike. That frame will bring easy 1200 in todays market.
rear wheel with rotor and caliper? I can use one right now and thats another 100 or 2 depending on condition.
