Oh btw, you posted this in the FXR forum, so expect biased FXR opinions.
Like someone else posted, I too own an FXDXT and will always admire FXRs.
I like the guy that said go with your gut best though, just do some research before you commit.

We're not biased. We've just completed the research.

I've had FXR's for many years and during one brief bout of insanity I bought a Dyna. Didn't last 8 months, and I traded it to my buddy who had a nice FXR. All is good in the world now...

Please tell me you still have it? I'd love to take it off your hands.

I have a 2000 FXDX. I love it. It's had a lot of work done and is pretty fast. I've always wanted an FXR though. My dad and uncle both ride FXR's. Both are club guys. About any old glub guy I've ever talked to said the FXR frame is the best Harley has ever made.

Most say the FXDX is a close second to the FXR though. Deffenately the best of the Dynas in my opinion.

...and it will be even better with TrueTrack or similar kit. It made night and day difference on my FXD.

I installed the true track on mine a couple of years ago. What a difference. Don't know why I waited so long to get one!

my FXD was down-right scary to ride in anything but straight line. New motor mounts, TrueTrack, fork brace, Works Performance cartridge kit and and tall air shocks completely transformed the bike.

Which has the smoother ride- the FXDX or the FXR?
