Mine came with a bar mounted windshield (Don't have it anymore) But, they run in the $100.00 range through most catalogs. Should be pretty easy to find...

HD makes a nice quick removable windshield. They fit FXRs (of course) Sportsters, and 39MM fork Dynas. Nice thing about them is that with the stock QR mounts there are several windshields from average to pretty large. Dealers can order them and they are always on eBay.

As Bullwinkle stated above.....HD does indeed make one that will fit a FXR, in fact they now make one that is a true quick release meaning that once you remove the windshield there are no brackets that remain either....if that is the way you desire to go....or you can acquire older "quick release" version that leaves on the forks permanently what the windshield attaches to on the forks.....so you have a couple of options from HD at your disposal......as long as your front forks on your FXR are 39mm then you can match up your needs at a HD dealer pretty easily.

I believe the "newest" quick release set up is around $340.00 or so, but as I said once the windshield is removed from the front forks nothing is left attached to the forks themselves....so it is truly a "quick release" the "newest" quick release version uses a "clamping" type of mechanism that "clamps" to the front forks and then when you release the "clamps" the entire mechanism becomes loosened from the forks. These "quick" release windshield part numbers can be found within the newer 08, 09 HD big Catalog accessory book.

Regards,

"Classic"

Windvest works for me. Very expensive new. You can find them for $75-$150 on Ebay.
