99 FXR2 left turn signal

Any ideas why my left turn signal will not flash? When you press the switch, the front, back and signal indicator on the handlebars just come on to a solid glow. Any thoughts? Thanks.

well, actually mine was doing that on my FXR4 ... I thought the bulb was burnt out ... but when I removed it, I could see that there was nothing wrong with the filament ....

I cleaned the housing and re-inserted the bulb .... no problems since and that's been about 2 months ..
