I have a 92 fxlr and love the blacked out springer. What do you guys think? Any wise words would be appreciated.

you're talking about 2 radically different bikes. i assume its the springer "look" you love. i'd keep it at that. get one to look at, not one bouncing a motorcycle. combining these would be a trainwreck of epic proportions. softails are a 90% appearance/ 10% function compromise at best & the appearance is strictly a matter of taste, poor taste imo. hear me, i'm wise

Not sure what you are on about there. I love the looks and ride of my Springer Classic. If you don't, a) don't ride one; and b) look the other way.

I would like to hear from more riders out there. If I really wanted a canon carver I would have gotten a buell. Its like a boob job, or getting your teeth whitened, or even putting braces on your kid... Its all about appearance right?
