Welcome to the site, and yes I suppose it could be made to look that way with enough work.

fxr ...

Shouldn't be hard at all. Basically drag bars, dual headlights, seat change, similar tank, different front wheel and fender, gauges, tailight and turn signals, rear fender.

That will be a close upgrade. Might be cheaper just to buy the bike.

That is a Dyna, not an FXR.

Not sure what to do about the battery box? That's one of the gimme's of the fxr family.

no, they dont. lots of difference. to make a dyna sorta look like a fxr, you would have to relocate the battery box and fuse panel, just to start. then there is the swingarm, tank, etc:

man, you are going in reverse. there is nothing close between a fxr and a streetbob. why ruin a fxr trying to make it something less than what it is ? please find a good home for that fxr before you waste it! if you want a street bob, trade your fxr and $2000, it will be lots cheaper and both parties will be happy.

You can make an FXR look like anything....but it's one of the best handling bikes Harley ever made. I'd keep it close to what it is, if it were mine. Just sayin'....
