on a 94 FXR without pulling the engine ??

are your rocker boxes in 3 pieces? That is how my 91 flstf is... Not sure about your particular bike but it does look and is tight. I pulled it from the carb side watch that rear left corner screw thru the frame or a cut allen. have a magnet handy it helps in that area.

it is easy in an fxr, just remove the front engine mount and unbolt the top engine mount and the entire engine lowers a whole bunch. Pleanty of room to pull the rear head.
