New old bike

Just got my first Shovelhead. It's a 1984 FXSB. The bike has 40,000 miles on it and I am the third owner. About the only thing that isn't stock is the S&S Super E. The tank was overfilled once and the left fuel tank decal needs replaced. Looked inside the tank and there is no rust. Woo Hoo!!

Be careful when you turn the fuel on...

Nice bike, I always thought they forgot about the horn until the last minute, didn`t know where to put it.

The PO drained the tank and I got there when he was bolting it all back together lol.
I know what you mean about the horn. But, I have a brand new horn for my FXRS and it is still setting on the table in my garage. What a pain in the ass place to mount a horn. You pretty much have to take the rear wheel off to bolt it in.
I bought all my books for the Shovel, and I have one more payment on it and it will be mine. I am pretty stoked about it. I found the original set of gas tank decals at a dealership back east, as the left one got ate up pretty bad when the tank was overfilled and heat caused an expansion.
I just wonder how much of a difference this will be from my FXRS.

Greetings,
Nice, clean scooter!
I love Shovels, then remember my 76 AMF SuperGlide and all the trouble I had with it.
Soured me on HD for more than a few years.....The '97 EVO cured me though!
