73 FX Superglide & 2005 Dyna wheels!

Anyone up for a challenge this year?

Got a '73 SG in need of a wheel change. Now have available a set of 2005 Dyna FXDI wheels & tires with tread left.
a) Is it physically impossible to retrofit this combo to my '73? Or...
b) What about requisite sized machine adapters? Can this be done?
(I can make the engr. dwgs.)

Already can get bearings to take the 2005 wheels down to a 3/4 in axle. But are the wheel(s) too wide or?

Any help, suggestions, or knowledge base respectively requested.
