It's a brandy spankin' new forum. Just added this past weekend.
Congratulations!! You are the first to post in it!
Lemme' ask....Does it have the same feeling as being the first to dip into the new jar of peanut butter???

This forum was just recently created, someone needed to post first. Congratulations.
BTW, my springer started out life as a 1981 FXS.

You need to change your title to " Why is there only 1 post here"?

One of my HDs is a 1985 FXWG. People forget about the early solid mounted Wideglides. My primary ride has been a Roadking and now a Street Glide, but I'll never get rid of the ole Wideglide. It has a Sputhe 5 speed tranny and two many upgrades to list. This is the worst part--- I haven't even started the bike since the late 1990's! Shame on me! One of these days I'm gonna drop in a new battery, clean the carb and fire her up. In this day and age of fuel injection and and quiet pipes, I sure to miss the S&S Super E and straight drag pipes on the Wideglide.

Awsome pics!
I've recently became the owner of a 73 FX "superglide".
Its my new tinker toy.
Just thought I'd drop a post, since they seem to be so few.
I'm off to search for some answers.

love shovels
I had a 78 FLH (and others), and even though I daily ride my 05, I get to enjoy the FLH occasionally. I gave the 78 to my son so that he could enjoy it. Also, I get to ride it when I want to and even wrench on it sometimes. There is nothing like a shovel for putting a smile on your face!

runamuckr, congrats on the 73fx. Hopefully you will have as much fun wrenching on your shovel as I have on mine. I don't visit here often as there is not much info on the old stuff. If you haven't yet, go take a look at shovelhead.us they have been a tremendous help to me.

I've had my '87 FLHS for a couple of years now. It's not perfect, has a few minor cosmetic issues, but is mechanically pretty solid.
Hmmm...kind of like me.
