Swithing out analog gas gauge question

Is it hard ? I would like to replace it with an LED one. Just wasn't sure how difficult. It would be.

Just did this on my 03 FXSTBI, was easy, I'm not the most adept mechanically either, loosen the clamps holding the original wires, unclip them from the receptacle, pull the old one out , install new gauge, insert wire ends into new wire receptacle, plug in, an your done. good idea to disconnect the neg. bat cable before doin it. also may have to raise your fuel tank a bit to get to the wire harness underneath. Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply Vilhelm. How does the gauge come out ? Does it just pop off the tank ?

Not too sure on the Dyna.. sorry, but if its like many others you just pull up on it gently an it comes out, disconnect the wires first though.
