Primary Oil

I just got a new derby cover...I know the primary doesn't hold alot of oil but what can I expect to leak out when I take off the old one....and should it be upright on the jack to avoid any spillage....

If you have the bike almost level it won't leak any out. I put the kickstand on a 2x4 and that puts it at an easier angle to get to to change fluids. Should be as level as possible when putting fluid in though so you get the fluid to the right level (but don't over-service).

Steve

I agree, you won't get any spill.

Good job! Remember, the next time you change your oil filter to use the box the filter came in as a funnel so you don't spill oil down the front of your frame and front of the motor. Works great. Little, simple tricks save time and clean-up.
Safe riding,
Steve

Done that....The cardboard box works just fine...instead of buying one of those plastic $10 thingys.
