Galdog wants to know Dino or Syn?
I shimmed my mounts, made quite the difference. Still jumps around at idle, but levels out immediately when I take off. No more buzzing in the bars, etc. Then I added polyurethane bushings, Progressive springs up front and Progressive shocks, bike really rides well now.

my 11 wide glide vibes were fixed at the first service with a motor mount tightning
but i have since traded to a new fld and between 2900 and 3k
there is an awful vibration that DOES make my teeth chatter
i dont know how much higher in RPM it goes since i dont have my 500 miles yet but evidently the MoCo is aware of a major vibration
problem which is being looked in to.

im hoping they get it figured out before i get my 1k service done
You didn't happen to get the harley "stage 1 tune" from the dealer by chance? Mine didn't have the vibration problem like you described until after I had the dealership install the pipes, air cleaner and the special "tune" . I strongly believe its the tune that is making it run rough and causing the vibration.

I still have the vibration and I am looking into getting some dyno tuning done here in the near future. its a little hard to get done with it being the middle of winter..... I WILL get it smoothed out.

Different motors on Dynas than slops. "A" Motor in Dynas, "B" (balanced) in slops.

check your motor mounts, dynas have problems with these, folks have put spacers in to help. Replacing the mounts helped both my vibration and ride a lot (mostly the front mount fails).

nothing to do with whether it has a stock tune or not, there is a problem
that is hit or miss along the dyna line dont know if its other models as i
havent searched on it yet but there is a major vibration right around 3k

Also im not going to do squat with mine until the 1k check up, did mention it to
my local service manager yesterday just to give him a heads up that mine is
one of the bikes with the 3k vibration and as i said before the MoCo is aware
of the problem and supposedly working on a fix which im hoping they have before my
1k service

Don't downgrade !! I traded in my Roadking for a new FXDC and really miss the heavier bike. I'll probably sell my SuperGlide this summer and pick up a used touring model.

How do you know MoCo is aware of the problem and is working on a fix??? I can't find anything to support that.

I would think adding the balancing shaft would fix the problem... Why not just do that?
