FXDX-T saddlebags

hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I wanted to say 'hello'. First move on was to add an entry to what I wanted to buy....permission denied...

Now I choose this way...

I'm looking for org. FXDX-T saddlebags...nylon with liner inside. The are not longer produced by HD...((which makes me angry...

All over Europe anybody got some....my last hope is to find some people here who could give me advice to find some ...second or new doesn't matter...equals if there got some scratches or stuff...

best regards

iku

I like the looks of the fxdx-t factory bags, also. Plain and clean. I also like how they're expandable.

I found a used set on eBay a couple of weeks ago. The seller was asking $2300!! I thought it was an error, so I asked, and the seller told me she had previously listed them for $3000!! According to her, she saw a set sell for $2300, so that must be what they are worth. They didn't sell, of course. I was going to offer about $250 but didn't bother.

Instead I went to my closest friendly HD dealership, who let me brings bags out to my bike to see how they looked. In my opinion, on my FXDX, the TBU650 T-bag looked the best by far. The size, shade and texture complements the Harley crinkle black perfectly, and looks factory stock. I didn't care for any of the other bags I tried because the blacks were too light (more towards very dark gray), or the texture or the shape/size looked mismatched. Of course that's only my opinion for my bike.

So I bought a luggage rack (crinkle black) and the T-bag.

Just a thought and another option.

There was just a set of t-sport bags on ebay. Starting bid was like 1200 or something. I have a set of reproduction t-sport bags on my FXDX. Cost me just under 600 shipped to my door and they are quick detach. A company called leather pros has them. They aren't on their website though. Call and ask for Gary if you are interested.

Can you post pics please.
These are not replicas but would look good and functional IMO.

I have Boss Bags on my FXDXI and I'm thinking they may actually be the same as Leatherpros (made by them for Boss Bags). I've had them since 2005 and couldn't be more pleased. When off (a 30 second operation) there's almost nothing as far as visible hardware. They hold a lot by themselves, in addition an extra bag such as sleeping bag or mattress can be placed on top and the straps have enough slack to secure it. Pretty slick.

Boss Bags and Leatherpros use the same tooling for their Dyna bags. The companies are owned by brothers.

I haven't been on here in a couple days. I'll snap a couple of pics tomorrow and post them.

If I were you I would buy the lether pro bags. They have a "cam lock system" That is pattent pending and they can be locked to your bike. My seconed choise would be conely bags
http://conelysaccessoriesusa.com/ret...es-saddle-bag/ The only thing I HATE about the conely bags is it says CONELY right on the side of the bags. You might as well stamp FAKE REPRODUCTION on the side.
