Exclamation 2009 Dyna hot rod info

Before any of you guys bust my chops, I searched best I could, and found tidbits at best, of what I was looking for, but I did try.

I own a 2009 FXD, bone stock except for punched baffles, (almost got run over by one too many cages, so wanted it louder, have not had THAT issue since) and since it just started snowing here today, its time to start building my own version of frankenstien's monster in my shop.
I've heard all kinds of good stuff about the Thundermax unit from Zippers, and was going to start there, followed closely with a Rinehart 2 into 1 header.
I want to be clear about something before I go further though, I want to develop the stock displcement engine as far as I can, before I split it open and go radical with it, so bolt ons are the order of the day here folks.
I'd like to get some feedback on my first 2 mods, and hear the pros and cons of them before I part with my hard earned dough.
I love my new bike, and have put on 6000 miles already, in spite of buying it on the last day of May this year, and working full time.
Any other suggestions? love to hear them, and see whats out there, that I may not know about yet!
Thanx

claydbal will become famous soon enough
find the best tuner in your area., then once you know you can get it tuned, find the best builder. chances are they will be the same guy.

this is your starting point!

no point in building the motor twice and spending twice the money... u don't need to "spilt it open", just get a good 103" or 107" big bore kit, and some good cams... that should be good for 95-100hp... if u decide u want more, have ur heads ported next yr... that should get u another 10hp...

I got the Rineheart 2 into 1 with the thundermax....

I'm happy with the performance and much better with the 2 into 1
compared to the Rush slipons i had on.. Much better getup and go,
I like it...

the Thundermax is not the best, Master tts is the best now,
but thundermax was suppose to be the best when i got it few years ago.

with thundermax, you need a computer perferably with XP, i couldn't get
it to run on vista... and you'll need a laptop....

Maping the bike is pretty easy once you go thru it once, and then u
just let the autotune take care of things..

I've already decided, my next bike which may be next year (looking at a road glide) I would go with master tts, this gives me good tuning options for later on when I do a 107 on it... Seems like all the best Tunners are recommending the master tts.

i have an 07 fxdb, at the end of that year i changed it to a 103" with SE pistons, and a SE211 cam, SERT, stage 1 air cleaner, V&H straight shot slip-ons and had 101hp and 117tq. relatively good increase in power for a relatively small price.

i have the tm, heavy breather, and a thunderheader on my otherwise stock 09 fxdb. ran like a scolded dog, imo.. especially in comparison to my 06 flhrc that has se intake and a dd fatcat.

i bought the tm from fuelmoto. it came pre programmed for my mods. i installed it and rode the bike. it took a few weeks of riding before the auto-tune smoothed out this funky pop on upshifts.

i do like the sound of the thunderheader, tho.. i think its b@d@ss!

Have your heads done and sized - this is needed with the cam of your choice.
