Cruise Control or Throttle Lock

Has anyone successfully installed cruise control on their Dyna? Or even a Throttle Lock of some type? I have an 04 Wide Glide and do a lot of long distance riding and would love to have the option to use it or not. If so can you post the Brand name of what you used? I do not have stock grips and I do have a throttle boss to rest the butt of my palm on but want more.

throttle lock

dhorn there are a few options for cruise out there. But throttle lock is less complicated to install. Do you have the hole already in your throttle housing right where the cables come out of the grip?
If so jp cycles has them in chrome pt 5000975 15 bucks.

It comes with star wheel, spring and the spring metal clamp shoe (for lack of better words) Looks to be a cinch to slap in. I already had the shoe in my t-body so it was external wheel and spring. Make sure if you go that route put some blue loctite on the threads screw it up till the throttle gets a shad sticky and let it dry or gumm up.. keeps it near usage position as well hopefully slow the vibrate and fall out routine so quickly. Hope that helps.

I think if you look at the parts diagram breakdown for your bike, you will see the throttle lock star wheel and parts. The only hassle is the dis-assembly to install it, but the pieces were cheap on my Deuce, and it took about 40 minutes to install, but it works nice as a throttle lock to give the hand a rest. I think it even came as a kit, but the friction shoe for the inside was separate or some bizarre thing like that.
