06 Lowrider running poorly

Recently my 2006 Lowrider has started to run poorly. After about 20-30 minutes of fantastic riding, the bike seems to loose power. The lights go dim, and it seems i have little power. After about 30 seconds or so it goes back to running fine, but continues this poor running cycle every 5ish minutes. I read an article in the most recent American Iron magazine that described these symptoms, and stated they were being caused by a problem with the alarm. Any other ideas before i uninstall the alarm??

Maybe a loose battery terminal? If it's regular though (not random) it does sound like it is a "controlled" issue, so something electronic controlling it.
