sam sam the mex is on a distinguished road
looking for......

a set of highway bars that will work on a 99 fxd with forward controls!!! i cant find a set!!! all the ones i find say will not work forward cont.!!

the only thing even close enough that i can find is called a "Mustache bar" made by Kuryakyn, and i dont think it is what i am looking for!!

The forward controls sit where the highway bar needs to be, and due to the rake and location of the front wheel, it would hit the front fender.

I've seen ones on Wideglides that have forward controls from the factory. Perhaps the top mount is different, or there's something that has to be changed to mae it work. This is something I wanna try myself.

I was told that only the Police model Dyna's have factory running boards, (which is true) at the tune of almost $900 for the stuff from HD. I made my own for that....



Anything is possible is you want it bad enough. You just may have to go out of the box, or try something that Moco hasn;t thought of. Older FLs had forward controls and highway bars as well....

If you are going the black them out, you should be able to move the bottom tabs, so that they fit around the forward controls. A little welding, some powder coat- bolt that puppy on.
