Hey there, I recently bought that jack. I have on 09' Sporty Low and it fits it. I do have to put the wheel on a 2x6 board to raise it enough to slide the jack underneath it, but it works very well on the bike, very stable too. I recommend it for the money!

Look at the bottom of your bike. There is a brace that is lower on the right frame rail.
I remember someone on here made an adapter for his dyna. I belive harley may sell one.
I think the brace protects the trans/oil pan.

Nothing can beat one of these:

I have heard a lot of horror stories trying to use sears and harbor freight jacks with adapters and tie downs. In a pinch maybe, but I have heard of no one having a problem with a J&S

I have a 2006 Super Glide and I have tried the Sears jack. You need a couple of people to help you get it all together....with the 2x4 under the front wheel to raise the bike so you can get the jack under the motorcycle. The J&S jack is much lower and you do not need to use any adaptors or 2x4 to raise the bike. It is very stable once on the jack. I would buy the J&S.

I have used it for years. Sears runs a sale now and then and you can usually get it for $69. On the lower framed bikes you have to use wood under the tires to allow the jack to slide under. It's a solid jack and holds a heavy bike just fine.

I have one of the Larin motorcycle jacks. It requires that i drive up on 2" stock so that i can get the jack underneath it. I also have the HD kit for the dyna because of the bottom brace issue. The whole setup is a joke. I used it once. If at all possible do yourself a big favor and get a jack that goes low enough so you don't have to drive up on something and get one wide enough to go around the bottom brace. For me its not a total loss as i can use the jack for my 4 wheeler and lawn mower. As for the HD kit, it'll probably collect dust or go to ebay. I'll probably keep it until i get a different jack just in case. The one time i used it i also had my bike shimmed up by about everything i could find in the garage.

I have one and roll the front tire onto a patio block to be able to fit the jack under the bike. Does it work-yes, are there better jacks out there that cost 2,3 and 4 times as much-yes.I only use it a few times a year so it works just fine for me- If you were going to have it up there for an extended period of time and tear the whole bike down you may want to invest in one of the better ones.jmho

i know you said you have heard of horror stories about the harbor freight jacks, but this is the one i have and it's wonderful... I can work on my bike standing up and if need be take the tires off as well. It goes up to 30" in the air. best purchase i have made in a while

Appreciate the comments. I looked at the harbor freight jack in the local store in Eau Claire, WI. I really like the design i just questioned its quality due to the fact that its from H F. It's as low to the ground as you would ever need. It does lack the ability to move around once the bike is up in the air but then for the most part why would i want to move it for the simple maintenance that i do. I would like something like this just ot be able to wash the wheels.

yeah...i have a rocker and those are pretty low I'm able to get underneath it no problem. The best part about it is that when it's fully jacked up you can wash your wheels standing up...it's a very good back saver. It also has a big safety pin you put through the frame of the jack just in case the hydraulics fail. My bike seems very solid when up in the air. (the straps help too)
There really is no need to move the bike around once it's in the air
