Dash tank mod

Dash Mod pics. As some may remember I had constant trouble with my gas gauge and sender so I pulled them both and made a gasketed plate for the sender hole in the tank and welded the existing gauge hole in the dash shut and had it re powder coated. No more trouble. What do you folks think? Look ok? I'm really liking my powder coated gas cap.

Looks great. How are your welding skills? I am just learning, but getting better. At least thats what the bride says.

Yeah that cap ties it all in nicely, and your photo and upload skills are improving greatly as well

Hi Mailman, yeah I'm in that learning curve as well. Thankfully I have a friend who is very good at welding. Since I wanted to powdercoat the dash, it had to be a weld that was almost perfect as you can't use plastic fillers when using the powder coating process. A small amount of touch grinding was all it took to smooth it to perfection and the texture finish did the rest. Good to hear from you. Rick
