2007 Twin Cam Engines
I read on another forum that the 2007 TC 96" 6-Speeds had all kinds of problems. Being the owner of an '07 SuperGlide, I'm wondering how true this is? I haven't had ANY problems with mine, but I'm still under 10,000 miles and basically stock, running Mobil1 V-Twin Syn.

There were many that had some gear whine in 5th, partially due to design, but more often than not a quality fluid cured it (or helped somewhat).
I have not heard of failure issues, the gear ratios could be improved upon for the guys that like to hot rod, but other than that,..... I haven't heard anything worse about them.

I have an '08 TC96 (FXD) with V&H Slip-ons, Stage 1 AC, and Fuelpak. She's purrs like a kitten and runs like a gazelle. Maybe I should knock on wood....

I'm running a direct drive (no comp) and my riding is very demanding on the trans. power shifting etc without a hitch, great trans. I had the socalled 5th gear ( actually the new belt and assembly) whine but went away with some miles on it. I have read many accounts on forums regarding 5th gear whine, crank shaft swizzering, faulty crank bearing, crank runout and none that I read fall within the realm of being defective, including the incress in runout, (part of the new crank assembly) that can be substantiated for the TC96. It's all a bunch of maliciaus bunk. The six speed is a solid unit and will take a lot of abuse.

Having had an 07 softail and now my 07 wide glide which both cranks were junk, the tans is the one thing I havn't had any problems with. I put shock proof in the trans soon after I got each of them and have not had ony problems. I guess the test will be after I get the 107 put in it

I put over 10k on my 07 in the last year and no probs to date.
But, I'm not thrashing on it either..just regular riding and touring.
YMMV, depending on your application.

The heading of this post was 2007 Twin Cam engines, I believe he meant engines not transmissions. My six speed has been ok, fifth gear is noisey, but the engines are a roll of the dice. You either get a good one or a bad one. No bunk about it.

If you can't prove it, then it's BUNK.

I ride a 2007 Superglide, V&H Propipe, K&N airfilter and Daytona Twintec III. The engine sounds and operates great and I'm maybe alone, but I do not have any noise from the transmission. At any gear!
I ride it hard and I use H-D's own oil. Great machine!!

35,000 miles and no engine problems!
dont worry just ride
the problem with the Internet is you will only read about the few problem some have had!
but the thousands of happy owners dont post good experiences.
