EDIT: Oops! Didn't see your red markers indicating LOWER part of clamp.

But this may be useful to someone else.
I'm looking at one like that by MOCO. Illuminated w/shift light. (Fits where your speedo is)

Here's the links to find em.

If you look in the Harley accessory catalog under "Instrument Gauge Bezel" or part number 74541-00 and see the picture of the part you are looking for. I installed this on my 2006 FXDI and put the Harley tach in this bracket. Looks great and works great and it is all
Harley stuff. Not cheap but what Harley parts are. I did not have to "mess" with my speedometer to install the tach.
DOUBLE CLICK on my Superglide picture on the left to see the tach install.

I will try to post a picture of my install. Here is a list of parts:
67084-96 bracket....................$54.80
67103-95 back cover plate.........$24.32
68850-04 wire harness...............$111.20
67042-04B tachometer...............$136.80
67104-95 cushion......................$7.00
2361 screws need 2...................$.96
3485A screw, hex socket need 2 $2.38
5775 spacer need 2 $.80
67121-95 cushion speedo/tach $7.00
The speedometer stays where it is mounted on the top of the handlebars. The tach is the same size as the speedometer
and is all Harley. I bought these parts from Surdyke HD in
Missouri and Chicago Harley. All parts are genuine Harley
Davidson. I will try to post a picture.

DOUBLE CLICK on my Superglide picture on the left and see my tach install.

Also note I have Two Wheel Tunes speakers on my handlebars.
Please ask any questions about the parts or install.

Bill,
Thanks for posting the info. I just ordered the majority of the parts you listed. I figure that I can combine those parts (minus the tach, the wire harness and the back cover plate) with the HD kit (67224-95C) I have, to come up with an install like yours. It looks much better that way (speedo above and tach below the bars) then with both above the bars.

AmphibSailor,
I hope the part numbers help you get your Superglide humming with
a tach. I think the tach bracket (67084-96) is the bracket that
fits on a Sportster.
Bill

I saw that, also. I know a lot of parts are interchangeable and I'm hoping that the bracket fits since the sportster forks are also 39mm.
