06

thanks guys! my battery went south and i replaced it. i checked the charging system and it is not charging. if i rev it up a bit it may go up to 12.8v, but that is all. also the check engine and battery light come on occasionally! i think it is the stator. it has 3 pins and i don't know what pins to check!---BRIAN

Welcome. I too am a newbie and have learned many things off of this forum. I am planning on getting a 2009 FXDC like your Dyna SuperGlide Custom. I plan on putting lots of goodies on it as well. V & H Big Shots Staggered, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, Kuryakyn ISO-Dually Pegs w/ Stirrups, more chrome, Kury ISO-Grips w/ Throttle Boss and of course more chrome. Gotta learn more on the "mapping" for the ECM. Don't know what I'll get. Maybe a Power Commander or Fuel Pak or I think the HD stealership can do what is called a SERT. I think SERT stands for Screamin' Eagle Race Tuning. Correct me if I am wrong.

Talking 06

that is a long list of mods! i have the short shots staggered, SERT, and a 180 rear tire on mine along with hi-way pegs. i am going to relace my ft hub for a 21 in wheel as soon as i fix the charging system!---BRIAN

claydbal will become famous soon enough
known issue with the 06 dyna. the rotor has bolts that come loose and destroy the stator. the replacement part has welded rivets instead of the screws.
