FXDC Lowering Kit

SO just got an FXDC and we changed the shocks to the lower shock kit. Plus got the reach seat. SO still needs it to go a little bit lower to be totally happy. Anyone here install a lowering kit?

I think you will find the common consensus of those who have installed lowering kits is that they make the ride much rougher and they wish they hadn't used them. Sell the shocks you purchased, eat the loss, and buy a pair of Progressives.

Here is a pic of my Super Glide with 11" 412s.

The SO only weighs in @ 105lbs therefore the rough ride from the lowers will not come into play. What brands have people used?

First off, if you are going to ride a Harley, you are going to need a much bigger SO........ j/k

The lowering blocks change (Icrease) the angle other than how they were designed to work. This change in dynamics is what makes the ride rough. More so than the load. Increased load on my FXDI actually makes it ride better.

hotshotfxdl will become famous soon enough
I have a 2001 Low Rider that I lowered even more for myself and I am 6'2".
I also like the ride and dont wish I hadnt done it.
I used all progressive stuff shocks and front springs. Is it a stiff ride yes, but it has never bothered me and is certainly softer than a rigid frame
