JP Cycle Front Directional Relocate How-To
I purchased and installed this front directional relocation kit from JP Cycles, only about $21. However, no install instructions included so I made some.
Here is the kit.
Here are the INSTALLATION DETAILS.
Here is what the kit looks like on the bike:

Nice writeup Dynamite!
Thanks for the time you took to put together the instructions. Looks like it makes for a nice looking setup.
I just got the HD kit for my Deuce, then read several posts where folks didn't like how it makes them stick out too far. Oh well, I may have to modify them after I see what they look like installed.
thanks again.

Thanks for taking the time to make up those instructions. Though I found the various washers needed to be *5/16"* SAE. No biggy.

Awesome write up. Would you recommend buying shorter bolts instead of using the two 1/4 in. washers?

The cavity is beveled, so I think the washers and stock bolt work well in this instance, plus they're hidden from sight.
I'm tellin' ya, regular 1/4" will *not* work. %)

Yes, I remember buying 5/16, just had 1/4 on the mind. I fixed the webpage text and photo.

Do you have to buy new hardware for the handlebars when you take the signals off?

Needed to buy the clips that hold the wiring to the bars, they are really one time use, cut off. $1 each. That's all.
I replaced my mirrors that day also, they came with their own new shiny acorn nuts.

Thanks a million man ....... you provided me with motivation to do this so I bought the kit just now and bookmarked your installation page. I have been wanting to do this since last summer and you just gave me the incentive.

I used the stock mirrors, so I had to get another 5/16" acorn and 4 chrome washers(2 per side), cuz after the signal hardware is gone, the nuts weren't deep enough.

Front Turn Signal Relocation
I am not sure if the 2007 Low Rider has the same set up as my 2006 Street Bob, but would assume so. I noticed when looking at my front signals that the wires go into the switch housings. I haven't taken the switch apart as of yet but do the wires attach inside or just run through the switches? I couldn't find any reference in my service manual. Thanks for taking the time to post the great instructions.

I can't imagine why the wires wouldn't just pass through that housing.
Do the wires then go internal from the housing down?
Yer prolly gunna have quite a bit of excess wire to deal with, huh?

On my 07 Lowrider, the wires from the directional lights go right into the rubber grommets on either side of the downtube and under the tank. They do not go to the switch housing. Must be set up differently.
