I have heard from a man with the yost and say hell yeah it works.itomizes the gas to a finer mist.he didnt say anything about mpgs but his bike wasn't near stock either.i wouldnt worry about mpg.i have been ponderin it, but have better ideas.better cam first

A guy I work with had one on his dresser and said it only gave him problems. Once it was taken out his bike ran much better. Just my 2 cents though.

On a carbed bike, pretty much stock except for the usual air cleaner and pipes changes, purchase a 1988 Sportster needle. Install it, drill out the idle mixture plug and richen it up by about a turn and your bike with a stock carb will run GREAT! Forget the Yost tube.

Had one in my Dyna when new, with just SE muffles, air cleaner, and Yost tube. It always got 34 mpg. It is an 02. Last year I let the local Indy take it out and tune the car. Bike ran better and got 42mpg or more.

Yost Tube is a racing part and is great for mixing gas and dumping it in. But at a cost. Spend the money and get a good dyno tune/run. Sounds like a lot of money, but the bike runs much better and I already spent lots of money to own an HD.

Of course its mute now, over Christmas/New Years, I had the Ind put a 95 kit, Andrews 26G cam/heads/and Munuki 42 carb, along with a 6-speed. I don't think I want or need an 08 now(no shot at 08 owners--its a T-Sport and not available). I have it painted and set up the way I want and it will have the dyno tune after the first 1500 miles.

I have one and really don't know how much of a difference it makes.

I have a 2001 Super Glide and installed a free flowing AC and aftermarket slip-ons, the local Indy suggested I go with the Yost.
I had them install the Yost and dyno tuned it after, ended up with 69hp and 77 tq and the bike runs great.
Usually get around 40 mpg around town and higher 40's on a trip on the 2-lane highways.

Welcome to the form Arn. I'm just up the road from ya. I would suggest you post this question in the V-twin engine mods area. Lot of experts there. Try doing a search too.
