Easy question. Fuel line.

Need to replace the cross over fuel line and the line to the fuel valve. What size are they (diameter inside outside?) Thanks. GeorgeJ

What year?
EFI or Carb?

Also could you be more specific when you say "Fuel Valve", do you mean petcock?

I'm doing a tank swap and want to mnake sure I have lines for both in case murphy stops by. I'm swapping the fxd with the fxdwg.

Rain here too, I am at work and sell cars, so I really have nothing better to do at the moment.

The stock CV carb fuel hose is 1/4". The stock tank crossover line is 5/16". Been that way for TC's and Evo's.

Thanks for the help. I'll post some pics soon. Fitting everything yesterday and today. I picked up a tank used and the rest of the stuff I got from Chi-Harley (console, chrome extension, petcock, ignition switch..etc...). Should have just bought a WideGlide!! Anyway should have some progress pics tonite. Still haven't figured wether I'm going to use the stock speedo in the console or just re-wire a FXDWG speedo.

If you don't mind me asking, what did all the new parts cost you? I've been wanting to look into doing this swap but all the used tanks I've seen on Ebay don't include the console and the assorted other parts, just the tank. That's what has sort of put me off. However if it's not that expensive to put the rest together, maybe I'll have to look into this more seriously.

Just a ballpark figure would be fine. I don't expect you to narrow it down to the exact nickel.

thanks,
KrustyTC

I went new with everything but the tank. All the parts from HD came to about 300. I think you can get some parts from after marketers, but I tried some consoles and they didnt quite fit right. The run down from memory is console about 100, chrome console extention 35, fuel sender about 40 (I think) fuel gauge 70, ignition switch (custom chrome ebay) 25, assorted screws and face plate and bezel for console another 25. All in all if you shop or get a tank that has everything you could do better. You really can't re-use anything. Like the sending unit and the fuel gauge. The petcock I think you can, but I bought another as well (in case I had to roll back quick). Hope that helps. Hope that helps.
