Need help choosing new pipes
Santa brought me a 2012 CVO Street Glide. I want to change the stock pipes for something that will give me a decent thunder, but that will not muffle the sound coming out of the bike's premium audio system. I'd like to get more power out of them also.
Any suggestions?

d+d fatcat 2-1 with quiet baffle or the rush slip ons mentioned above if you just want slip ons and not an entire exhaust .
but you may want to remove CAT.,so entire exhaust may be way to go.

First you need to get rid of the Catalletic converter in the stock head pipe.
Several options for that, a Fullsac X- pipe "B" which is for the 110 motors. You use your stock heat shields with this. It works well. I did this on my 09.
My 12 CVO I am using the Jackpot head pipe, which again uses the stock heat shields. It is ceramic coated and has dual 02 bungs for easier tuning.
Another option is the Vance and Hines Head pipe with the power chamber cross over.
Again lots of options on the mufflers. The least expensive is to use Fullsac baffles in the stock mufflers. They come in three sizes, 1.75, 2 and 2.25 inch baffles. As sizes goes up so does the volume. I ran the 2.25s on my last CVO, deep idle, loud when getting on it, but mellow at 75 mph cruising.
I am going to try the Jack pot pro tour mufflers on the 12, if I do not like them I will do the fullsac 2.25 again.

some good options there.
I like the V&H power duals you mentioned with rush mufflers. 2.00 baffles. for these applications.

I have a 2012 CVO Ultra and just got the engine upgraded with TW400 cam, new valves, roller rockers, 10.3 compression, ported intake with K&N etc...For the exhaust I went with Fullsac X pipe and SE Fatshotz mufflers. These give a deep and powerfull sound without being obnoxious.

I've put Rush 2" duals on two different bikes, the last one was an 11' Ultra Limited and they were just right. Not too loud unless your getting on it. I do however use the helmet headset for all music.

I have had a lot of experience from the Vance and Hines Power Duels with the high outputs

When I got tired of not being able to hear my tunes at full volume w/ HogTunes speakers, I dumped my V&H Ovals (95", 10:1 CR, 37g cams) and went with the SE FatShotz on my V&H Dresser Duals.
Good sound, not obnoxious at cruise.

D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1, Quiet baffle or for more rumble get the louvered baffle. Get the performance baffle and the exhaust note will BE your music. These pipes have a deep rumble and in my opine sound the way a Harley should.

Here's another vote for a 2 into 1. I have the Vance & Hines Pro Pipe on mine. I can hear the stereo no problem and it makes a ton of usable power. It also has a very throaty sound. They can be found on the net for right arounf $500 which is not bad considering it is a full exhaust with full coverage shields.
