110 Can it be Bored out??

Hey Guys,

Just wonder Can one take the stock 110 S.E. Cyls. and bore them out with some pistons from Zippers etc... and go over size, Just wonder what would be the biggest one can bore out to and what size engine would it be now?

Thanks

I think those are the same jugs as the 88. How much metal do you think
is left?

They are not the same jugs as the 88"/96"
The reason being is that the bore dia. is 4.00" on the 110
which needs/requires the spigot hole to be bored...
So
With this said if the stock 88"/96" would allow the bore of 4.00" then the 3.938 dia. would not be the largest you could go on a typical 95"/103"
The 110" could be gotten to with the barrels and not require a spliting of the cases...
and
The 88" would now yeild a 100" square motor which is claimed to be a better way to go...with all being equal...

They are not the same jugs. I believe they can be bored to make a 113" with the 4.375 crank.

110 can it...

Just boring the cylinders, even with a CVO isn't going to give you much more horsepower. It probably wouldn't even be noticable.

From what I understand .10 over is all you can go right now as no one else makes a bigger piston for it. There is not much left in the 110 jug to bore it more, as it is very thin already. Want to go bigger with the 110 you really need something like the Axtell cylinders.

Bore the cases, and drop a set of Axtell cylinders on to be at 117".
