2006 103 Engine Specs

Anyone have the details on this engine i.e. size of the intake and exhaust valves, type of pistons, cc's of combustion chamber.

claydbal will become famous soon enough
flat tops, IIRC 1.90 intake, 1.58 exhaust. chambers are around 88cc. this is from memory, so it probably aint right, but its close. the 253 cam makes it a dog. again IIRC, last one i checked, compression was around 9.2. bottom line is to make one run, you have to work heads, raise compression and install different cams.

Cams in mie were CVO 258 I've heard the combustion chamber was anywhere from 98 cc to 101.5 cc depending on who you ask. My owners manual say's the compression is 9:1.

CVO253's are the stock cams. Maybe yours was changed? Last set I had done at Hillside was 94 cc's. Those bikes really wake up with a recipe like claydbal said. Usually from the factory the valve springs hit the rocker boxes. Check the crank runout as well.

I bought the bike new and changed out the cams my self they were stamped CVO 258. These CVO heads are quite a bit different then staock TC88 I'm not sure spending money to re-work them is smart or just get a good set from S&S or R&R.
