2007 SE Dyna w/110

A buddy of mine just picked up a low miles 2007 SE Dyna (1000 miles). He did a 1500 mile ride and when checking the oil found it was down 1.5 quarts. I asked him if he checked the level when he picked the bike up and he said no, the dealer had serviced it and he trusted them. No signs of smoke coming from the exhaust, and definitely no leak. He also said he's getting a ton of vibration through the handlebars and foot pegs which I thought might be from running a big motor (110). Anyone have any similar experiences with this type of bike?

Thanks

I have one and I’d have to say that this bike is not a touring bike it’s a Hot Rod. Hot Rods don’t have the same feel, as the engine goes through different harmonics with changing RPMs your going to feel it. If you make changes to get more power you get even more feed back, just depends on the ride you’re looking for.

Re: SE Dyna

I also have one, an 07 with around 3400 miles. I agree with others here, that motorcycle is made for hot rod/bar hoppin/wow the little purty girls, etc.etc. When I want to cruise around and have the extra lid for a potential Lola, the I ride the 01 Fatboy. The dyna is rough down low, if I aint puttin at 2000 (min)-2500, then it tends to buck and piss and moan and such. So around town, keeping it in the power band, you are in 3rd. with a decent roll on torque run. I live 15 miles from the local waterin holes, and I run a two lane at 60 and I am in 5th.....6th pulls the aforementioned rpm down to 2000 or so and the machine lugs. You have to ride it like my old Camaro with a hot street cam and minor work on a big block, and 4:10 or deeper rear, and that friggin thing would pull the 2500-4800 range like it wasnt gonna quit. The 110 seems to be the same, the stock cam really sucks, but with a slight bump in cr, and a baby hot cam, it does ok. Not pro stock by any means, but fun toy for showin off to purty things
