Got it.

picked up my ccw permit today. good for 5 years. they said they had been trying to call me for many weeks but there weren't no messages on my answering machine. Now I can go pick up the Ruger LCP I've already paid for.

Congrats.

Five years, eh? Here in Indiana we can get lifetime permits. Woohoo!

Congrats, Fred. Stay safe. Concealed carry is still strictly prohibited here in Wisconsin.

Congrats Fred. I've had mine for 12 years now. Don't leave home without it.

That really is sad. I'm from IL. and they make Cali look liberal as far as guns go.

Good Deal!
I just got mine here in Texas at the begining of this year. The more of us that have them, the more crime rates will go down... I think. If 50% or more people are carring, the more likely a burgler will have to think twice....

I agree. And when justification-of-lethal-force laws and Castle Doctrines are passed that allow a law abiding person to protect themselves "anywhere they are lawfully allowed to be" the criminals will take note that their vocation can be hazardous to their health.

Congrats and be safe.

BTW, our permits are five years here in GA, too.
